Five steps. Under five minutes.

Step 1

Browse & pick your plan

Go to our eSIM Store and filter by destination, trip length, and how much data you need. No hidden fees — plans start from US$1.90.

💡 Good to know
1 GB covers ~10 hours of maps + light browsing per day. Choose 5 GB+ if you'll be streaming or on video calls.
Step 2

Add to cart & checkout

Add your chosen plan to the cart. At checkout, enter your email and payment details — we accept all major cards.

🔒 Secure by default
Checkout is secured by SSL encryption. We never store your card details.
03

Receive your QR code instantly

Within seconds of payment, a QR code is emailed to you and shown on your confirmation page. Save it — you'll need it to install the eSIM.

04

Install on your device

iPhone: tap and hold the QR code in your confirmation email and choose Add eSIM, or scan it with your Camera app, then follow the on-screen prompts (the default options are fine). Android: open your Camera app, point it at the QR code, and tap the notification that appears to add the data plan. Either way, once it's added, go into Settings and set the new eSIM as your Cellular/Mobile Data line — keep your home SIM as the default for calls and texts — and make sure Data Roaming is turned on for the eSIM.

📱 Make sure your phone is eSIM compatible and unlocked before purchasing, a full list is available in our FAQ page. Turn off Data Roaming on your home SIM to avoid extra charges, and switch on Low Data Mode (iPhone) or Data Saver (Android) so background apps don't burn through your travel data.
05

Land and connect automatically

Your eSIM activates as soon as your device connects to a local network in your destination. No setup required — switch between your home SIM and travel eSIM anytime.

Not getting a signal after you land?

Most connection issues clear up in a couple of minutes. Work through these checks before you assume something's wrong.

Are you actually in your eSIM's coverage area?
Your eSIM only connects within the destination it's for — a Japan eSIM won't get signal anywhere else. You can install it before you leave, but it won't pick up a network until you land in the right country.
Turn on Data Roaming for the eSIM
iPhone: Settings → Cellular → tap your travel eSIM plan → turn on Data Roaming.
Samsung: Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → turn on Data Roaming.
Google Pixel: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → select your eSIM → turn on Data Roaming and Mobile Data.
Make sure your eSIM is set as your data line
Your phone needs to know which SIM handles mobile data. iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data → select your travel eSIM. Samsung: Settings → Connections → SIM Manager → set Mobile Data to your eSIM. Pixel: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → select your eSIM.
Android: double-check your APN settings
If data still won't connect on Android, the APN may need to be entered manually. Go to Settings → Network & Internet (or Connections) → Mobile Networks → Access Point Names, and add a new APN using the details from your confirmation email. Contact support@travoyer.com if you're not sure what to enter.
Reset the connection
Turn on Airplane Mode, wait about 30 seconds, then switch it back off — this forces your phone to reconnect to the local network. It can take up to 15 minutes for the eSIM to fully authenticate and start showing 4G/LTE or 5G, which is normal right after landing.
Still nothing? Select a network manually
iPhone: Settings → Cellular → your eSIM plan → Network Selection → turn off Automatic and choose an available network from the list. Once connected, you can switch Automatic back on. If none of this helps, email support@travoyer.com — and don't delete the eSIM from your phone in the meantime, it's rarely the actual problem and just means starting over.
